402. Just Back From The St. Patrick's Day Dance.....

I've just got home from the

St. Patrick's Day Dance

at the Cole Center in Natick.

What an incredible night!

Everyone worked so hard on their pieces and did such a great job.

I can't wait to see them hanging on the fence.

I'm leaving on vacation at 4:00 AM tomorrow morning,

so won't be able to hang, photograph and post all the 

wonderful LAK's that were created tonight until I get back,

but I did want you to see some of the photo's from the dance:

396. Locks and Keys - Taking Supplies On The ROAD!

I've been working with a number of the Town Of Natick's public service departments and am taking the Locks and Keys Project on the road!  Here is when I'll be hosting LAKP participation events and where: 

Friday, March 18th - Natick Recreation Department St. Patrick's Day Dance

Tuesday, April 19th - Kennedy Senior Center arTs ProGRam

Saturday, May 21st - Natick Recreation Department Mother/Son Challenge

Wednesday, June 1st - Morse Institute Library - Creative Connections

I also have a LAKP "kit" pick up and drop off location at The Danforth Museum (I drop off new kits and pick up completed kits once a week) 123 Union Avenue, Framingham, Ma.

And, of course, I have mucho grande supplies at my studio at 3 Adams Street, Natick, MA.  I have supplies both inside and outside, so even if you come when I'm not there, you can participate!

After all of these events, I'll be bringing the completed pieces back to the fence, hanging and photographing them, then posting to the blog as usual.

386. Getting Read For St. Patrick's Day

I'm taking the LAKP on the road next week. 

Our local recreation center is having a 

St. Patrick's Day dance, and I'll be attending.

I'm just starting to get my themed supplies together!

You toted us as Toddlers to Pre-K and Coeds to College.

We scrambled in.  We jockeyed for position.

Sometimes we slept: sometimes we giggled: sometime we argued.

We put dimes in your cassette deck, muddied your upholstery with our snow boots

and soccer cleats.

We scribbled in steamed breath on the windows, sang show tunes, and yes, we

danced.

We grew older so we made sport of you.

Pete fixed what ailed you and shared the double-double secret start up tip.

We reluctantly drove you around town but smiled when our friends recognized The

Whale on the street.

In truth, we were mighty glad of your ample storage when we went to College

In truth, we have a whale-sized affection for the good times had and now leave

behind as a legacy to The Whale.
